I don't own a V, I have a IV. However I've probably played at least 12 hours on a couple of different V's, combo and 4X12. Neither seemed BRIGHT. Yes not as compressed as the IV, or dark, but I wouldn't call it bright to the point where it was an issue. I would have it get a run through by a tech if you feel the brightness is too much.just my 2¢
