Combo to Cab question

Hopefully someone out there could help me with this. I was wondering if I could connect my Marshall AVT combo amp to my Mesa Boogie 4x12 cab. A buddy of mine tried a similiar setup and he blew his amp. I really want to try it but im terrified of blowing my amp. Any suggestions or tips on what to look for to do this sort of thing is appreciated. Thanks!

You can connect your Marshall to a Boogie if the Ohm load matches. I believe your Marshall is Solid State, so you cannot, cannot never ever mis-match the load. And, make darn sure that you are powered down BEFORE you plug everything in. If you don't, ZAP!
