Channel Switching 2 Mark Five 25 Heads with 1 Footswitch

I play a stereo rig, have done this with Fenders and Marshalls over the years. Single channel amps, with stereo feed out from pedal board. I have a new Mark Five 25 and want to get a second, to run in stereo. I want to switch channels on both amps at the same time with one footswitch. Can this be done safely with the FS that comes with the amp, and using a Y Cable to connect it out to the two heads? I assume a TRS Y cable would be required, to also switch EQ on and off from the FS, as per single amp functionality. If any one has done this, please advise. I called the store and they didn't know, so I'm asking the experts. 8)
