lester,
according to all of the videos ive seen of timmons the resolution cd is pure marshall. a 68 plexi and 72? SLP. they were run pretty clean, with a fulltone Tape Delay, and his distortion pedals to get the tones. he documents what he used for the album on his live dvd as a special feature. the guitar was his mahogany one (which is not the sig model that ibanez offers)
now live, his mesa rig, pedals recreate his album tone perfectly, even though its mesa amps, and EH delays, and the prototype of his ibanez signature.. but then again its him playing... which has a hand in it. (i dont believe its all in the hand tough, listen to EVH through the years and his gear changes so does his tone.. although his most recent tour with the 5150iii sounds great it certainly is not the old 68 plexi) but i digress
craig,
let me know if you pull of the TImmons tone.. i reallly dig deliver us. i would recommend a channel 2 with low gain, or fat clean, and el-34s then pushing it with a tube driver distorition pedal (or something like that) since thats what he did... oh and for the mesa page song, i dont know what difference the single coil hums make compared to regular single coils.. but he has the mini humbucks....
