Hey forum, so I have had the mkv for 4 months now, really pleased overall, but was reading in the tubes forum here and started thinking I should address my concern about te secod channel. In the mark 1 mode it sound like it's really dark, edge and crunch are ok but I have to drive up the channel master volume to about noon to get the same output as channel 1&2 at about 9oclock. So is this normal for everyone else too?

I am not sure, but all I know is that channel is super bassy and I also have to make volume adjustments when I use that mode. The rest of the channel is fine just MK 1 is really bass heavy to my ears, way too much so in that it detracts from the usable tone. Or maybe I just have a amp or valve issue? Anyone know anything about this?

Mark I mode is extremely bass heavy for sure. Turn the bass all the way down and/or keep your first two sliders flat. This mode is made to have nice, fat single note definition. Also keep the thick mode off and that helps as well.
