Changing Preamp tubes on MK IV

How do you go about getting to the preamp tubes on the mark iv?

I read somewhere before to remove the front grille to get to them...

When I retubed my Mark IV, I took the whole chassis out of the case and set it upside down on the table. This way I was able to easily reach all of the tubes and was able to see what I was doing. Even doing it this way, it only took me 15 minutes to go through the whole process. So that is my recommendation.

Take the front panel off and you should be good to go. Just turn and remove the spring loaded cover on the first preamp tube. When you get them all off, remember to start with preamp nearest the powertubes, it's kinda hard to reach.

To take the front panel off you have to press it at the top then pull the bottom - it's held on by industrial grade velcro type stuff !!
