Is this possible. Is there a third party company that already makes this possible.
Imagine being able to switch Modes with a foot switch.

I don´t think this is possible, and I don´t think this is something you´d use in a live situation.

I dunno...I've often wanted to go between Fat and Tweed via footswitch.

There is a pretty noticeable jump in volume when switching from Fat to Tweed. I'm not sure how you would use that live.

It may be possible, and sounds good on paper, but I tend to agree with most posters that it wouldn't really work well for live situations......which to me would be the only benefit.

I suppose that it might work for some people in Ch1 for swithing between Clean to Fat Clean modes (most people don't gravitate to the Clean mode IMO), and possibly even Fat Clean to Tweed modes (as long as they liked the big volume boost when switching to the Tweed mode). This hypothetical feature might be most beneficial to toggle between the IIC+ and MkIV modes of Ch3 at least for me. However, I find it very easy to reach over and flip the toggle manually if necessary during a song......and usually keep it to whichever mode I am currently in for a given song.

IMO it would not work at all for toggling between any of the modes of Ch2. Ch2 covers the widest variety of tones offered in its 3 modes, and because of that....all of them require radically different tone settings in each mode to sound good and be useable for my needs.

I do it, between IIC+ and MK IV without volume jump and those are the only one on the V
Other's channels need to be re-eq but not the IIc+ and the IV for my taste and the volume is the same.

It work perfectly without any pop and it's controlled by the RJM mini gizmo.

Please share a drawing or schematic of how you did this. If you have pictures of the mod please post them also. I'm sure many MKV owners (like myself) would be interested, as I agree that this could work well between MIIC+ and MKIV mode.

when I said : "I do", I must say my amp tech do that for something like 125 $.

I'll ask him how but I'm sure it's pretty simple for any tech.

the only thing I know is that he used, as I asked him, the reverb remote foot controler to operate between IIC+ and MK IV.

Wow, if it can be done between IIC+ and Mk IV, it stands to reason it could be done between others.
Yes, littleguitar, please share.

Great information littleguitar.

Personally, I wouldn't be willing to negate the footswitchable reverb of the entire amp to be able to toggle between IIC+ and IV modes if that is what it took to achieve this. Did your modification eliminate the footswitchable reverb of all channels or just Ch3? If it only negated the footswitchable reverb of Ch3......I might be interested? If it negates the footswitchable reverb of all channels....I would not be interested.

I do agree that there could be some nice advantages between footswitchability between the IIC+ and MkIV modes of Ch3. However, I also find it very easy to reach over and make the switch manually between songs....so this added feature would require minimal negative consequences for me to even consider.

I am curious???

I'm sure that the tech simply utilized the switch that was already on the footswitch, and the existing wire in the footswitch cable to make it all work without having to add another switch and a different cable and jacks at both ends.
