Okay, so I have a vintage 1957 Eico tube amp that my father built..., 18 watts, and it sounds awesome. I have it wired 8 ohms mono.

I run my Mark V 8 ohms mono also.

I want to:

- keep a load on the MkV, so i'll run it variac and into a mono cab.
- run my el84 amp into another 8 ohm mono cab
- run the effects send into the input of the Eico el84 amp

Will this work? Any issues (I don't want to fry anything)!!!

Basically, I'll use both of my cabs to keep a load on the amps..., I just want to feed my vintage amp with the 3 channels of the Mark V

yes you can.
You can do it via Slave Out which includes the power amp section,
or you can do it via FX send (but that way you take the signal out of the amp basically disabling the MKV power amp)

You have to be aware that some modes take extensive use of the poweramp section, Mark I mode in CH2 and Extreme mode in CH3 (from the top of my head)
if you try changing from MK IV to Extreme bypassing the poweramp you'll notice little to no difference :)

I'll check those yellow jackets out..., they look like a cool invention!!

Any advantage to using the loop send or the slave out to feed the signal from the Mark V to my EL84 amp?!?
