Right now my studio pre is getting refurbished and won't be available until Christmas time, so I cannot answer this question.

I was fortunate enough to pick up a good deal on a JMP-1 yesterday and was wondering if I could treat the JMP-1 as a Marshall pedal?

Appreciate any insight on this one,
Scott

If you like the tone : yes !
But this is a preamp, so it's better to run it into a poweramp or effect return of an amp.

The JMP-1 will gain up the signal level quite a bit, so you will need to turn down the master volume to a very low setting if you run it into the input of another preamp. That may be fine, but it could be noisy. You might try running from the FX send of the JMP into your clean amp input, with the FX send set for instrument level (if it can do that), or from the Recording output if the JMP has one.
