I was just wondering is it possible to get a Bury Your Dead type tone, using a Dual Recto?

I would say use a good amount of mids for punch, decent amount of gain, but not dimed out. EMG-equipped guitar tuned to drop Bb (B flat) and a heavy right hand. May want to add an OD pedal in front as a boost if needed. This should give you that upper-mid chest moving thump that they have. Sounds like they use 5150/6505's on record and live, which are 6L6 based. But I find that with the recto, EL-34B's add a nice upper mid punch, kind of like the 5150 has, that packs a wallop.
