Are any of you using a buffered effect loop device in the pre-amp out/power amp in? If you are, what are you using and is working out for ya'???

It's not a loop. It's a preamp out pre-GEQ, it does make a good mute switch with a one button footswitch in there. The preamp out post GEQ is the slave out.
As for the loop, I don't buffer it at all. I have had thoughts of trying a Suhr Mini-Mix, but have not gotten around to it yet. I am interested in how that loop would sound in parallel.

99% of the time, I plug straight in with no effects and a bit of reverb. That's all.

Thanks for that, I do realize its not really a loop per say. Even with just a digital reverb patched in the volume drops and it's not as robust. The tube buffer in my Brown Note is fantastic but unfortuneatly built in to the amp.

I'm going to try it, if I can get my hands on one. I really need to have some effects as I play alot of rhythm guitar as well and its just nice to have a few crayons in the box to utilize. I just bought a TC Electronics Nova System that I'm running in the loop of the Brown Note, so far so good, a bit of a learning curve but I think its going to work out.

Well I am shocked, no one has tried a buffered effects devise to improve the Mk series tone???

From your YouTube clips, I don't really think it can sound much better.

I don't really see a down side to buffering the loop, but it would most likely sound it's best if
it was a tube buffered loop unit like Dumble's Dumbleator. But it's just an opinion.

Unfortunately I'm not in a tax bracket to have anything with the name Dumble on it. Ceriatone has one for like $250, that's the one I've been eyeing when my paper route pay check come in the mail. :)
