I swear when I first read this I thought it said "Brutal TEXAS Tones" and thought "huh?"

Glad I read your post, those are interesting settings, I'll have to give 'em a whirl.

I'm definitely trying these out. Especially the LD2 Red one. I've yet to get a tone out of that mode that I really like.

Try taking the mid to about 4 and dropping the DV to 8 or so. Makes it a little more live friendly. I bet recording on that setting is pretty bad arse.

How many of you use just Deep with hi-gain tones? I don't know why but I like how warm the top sounds if you use just Deep, especially with Lead 2 Green/Orange modes.

Here's my sick rhythm puppy (give this bitch some EMGs and oh my Lord):
Lead 1 RED (non-fat, Recto board)
Gain: 6
Treble: 6.5
Mid: 5.5
Bass: 6.5
Lead 1 Drive: 5.5
Master: 5.5
Presence: 5.0
DV: 0
2:90, Deep&Modern engaged
Marshall V30 4x12

Needs some volume to shine :)

Jackie my experience with LD1 Red Recto board is it can take higher bass settings well and I believe it also mentions this in the manual if memory serves me.
In the end what ever sounds good sounds good : )
