Recently pickup up a strat (single coils), my first. I've only played hum bucker equipped guitars for the last umpteen years. Anyway, the strat really takes to the roadster and particulary the Brit and tweed modes. I never bonded with the Brit mode with 6L6's, EL34's helped, but now EL34's with the strat sounds like a great match. Channels 3&4 however still sound much better with hum buckers. Ch4 is a touch better for a lead sound with the strat than the other guitars but not great. Anyway just thought I'd share, eventually I'll pull myself away from the roadster to try the mkv with the strat. Rock on 8)
