Boss DI-1 for Recording

I am trying to determine if the Boss DI-1 Direct Box can be used between the amp and a digital home recording unit.

This is what I would like to do:
I would like to mimic the recording procedure I use with my Roland Cube which has a DI out to my Korg 12 track recorder.

Can this Boss unit accompolish the same results? I'm thinking "NO" since I don't know how it would connect to the amp.

I forgot to mention that I am using a Stiletto Ace Combo.
