Boss DD-3 and Mark III......bad combo?

When I run my DD3 into my Mark III blue, I notice odd artifacting/noise in the delays.....doesn't sound good. I've read on another forum of someone having the same issue, and not having it with other Boss DD-x pedals. Is there something to the DD3 that's not friendly to Mark loops?

sometimes my dd-2's repeates have a bit of break up in them if the amp is set a certain way.
its usually only noticeable on loud, clean settings on the amp.
try turning the fx level down on the pedal, and then the repeats up to compinate.
this is with my mark III by the way...
