Can this amp get any good hard rock tones? Obviously it isn't a rectifier or mark and isn't a metal amp, but could it give some good foo fighters, or queens of the stone age, or sleeping sea king kinda tones?

If you got some reasonable hot humbuckers Seymour Duncan JB or hotter for sure. I am pretty sure Foo Fighters used them (amongst other amps) on that double album, was it In Your Honour?, they did a few years ago.

There is heaps of gain, there is 2 gain stages plus a master plus you can also switch down to 5 watts which gives you even more gain. Whilst 30 watts gives a bigger sound generally, I find in the 5 watt mode you can scoop the sound more to get the chug.

Cheers
