I recently did the mod to serial since digital fx are a bad match with a parallel loop. Although tone has improved a lot I was told that the mix function would not work anymore but it still slightly works.
I have to have the mix set all the way to 100% or you get bad sound artifacts and phasing that just sounds terrible. Even when set to 100% with the amp cranked and delays mix is set high you here the delays start to sound terrible the first repeat is ok but it just gets worse from there.
This proves to me that I don't have a fully transparent serial fx loop that truely gives you 100%. Also I have to have the send knob set to 100% or yet again you get those terrible phasing sounds.

Is there a way to have the amp have no bleed trough?
Does anybody else have this issue?
And also I was told if i place a tuner pedal (that truely mutes) in the fx and switch it to on if the amp has no bleed trough it is a transparent serial fx loop.
I tied this method and was disappointed since the amp still makes sound with the tuner engaged?
Any thoughts?

I have the 3 channel Rec. The mod i had done I cant use the footswitch anymore but my G system allows me to switch channels. thanks!

Did you have it done by a tech, or did you do it yourself? Knowing exactly what was done is crucial to determining whether it was done correctly.

There is a mod where you just swap a few wires around, then there's a mod where some transistors are removed.

If you could post a pic of the PCB on the inside, I would be glad to take a look and try to help. It sounds like it wasn't done correctly to me.

Yes I had it done by a tech. Tomorrow I will see what was done and take a pic! Thank you!

The important area to get is the effects jacks and knobs area. Try to get a detailed picture if you can.

Here's the area you want to get (disregard the notes, I borrowed this pic):
