Say they're both in the same price range. What do you guys think? The deluxe is lovely sounding, but a vintage amp would be neat too. Plus I'm sure it will sound outstanding (although I haven't played this particular amp yet.)

Do you collect amps? => Princeton Reverb, it better be a Black Face.

As far as tone, they're both sweet sounding for the vintage guitar aficionados, not many on this board.

If you plan to gig with it, I would go for the Deluxe Reverb reissue.

Just my opinion.

I don't really collect them. I am just looking for a small amp. Already have the medium sized amp covered. Also looking for something with reverb, since my Mark doesn't have that.

If I got the princeton I'd probably mod it...I am leaning towards it because it seems lots of new fenders have solder joint problems. But then I'd be modding a 'vintage' amp.

I just played through a Princeton for the first time last night. A friend of mine has one and he did mention he had some mods done. It's a silverface though so that is probably why. GREAT REVERB. And a great clean tone. I didn't play it very loudly though. Nice little amp.

I say go vintage and get a nice cover for it so you don't bang the crap out of it.

I shouldn't be telling what to do on your amp but modding a BF Princeton is along the lines of getting a PreCBS Fender Strat and decide to put a humbucker pickup in the bridge position.

Just an opinion. :?

The Tiny Tone is a great little amp. Even though it's only 1 watt it'll drive a 4x12 and it's a lot louder than you would expect. It's got a spongy sound to it - probably because of the tiny transformers. It's a good little blues amp imho.

I built it myself - it was a tough but rewarding first electronics project.
