Best sounding 1x12 cabinet to use with a Dual Recitifier?

OK, I'm old and only play small place now. I'm looking for a 1x12, not necessarily a Mesa brand, to use with a Dual Recifier head. Anybody already done a 1x12 shootout?

The 1x12 and 2x12 three quarter back cabs are amazing with Dual. Allot of clarity and superb response for those heads. The recto 2x12s are really good too but I've always felt like they were really only designed purely as an extension to the recto 4x12 to add even more thunder.

I'd go with the three quarter backs, you'll won't regret it.

I own two "Ear Candy" 1x12's and used them with my recto when I had it. Mine are closed back with Eminence Texas Heat speakers. They have fabulous wooden enclosures. Tons of tight low end.

The Vintage 30 does work really well with Rectos, but you can get some amazing sounds with other speakers that cost much less. Eminence makes some great speakers for high gain. Personally I've been enjoying the Texas Heat - its got a lot of bottom end and handles 150 watts (in one speaker!).

Agreed! I love the 3/4 back design. I've got a RoV 1x12 combo that is a 3/4 back designed combo and I also have the matching 3/4 back 1x12 cab to go with it that I mainly use with my DC-3 head. Both cabs have the C90 speaker in them. These are great sounding cabs for any Mesa I've heard through them! The RoV combo combined with the additional 3/4 back cab is especially monsterous!
