Anyone using an EV speaker with their V?

Just purchased an EVM-12L to install in my 3/4 back 1x12 cab. Should sound killer! Anyone else use one?

yes!!!and I love it,esp. with chan. 1-in chan. 3, be ready to eq,as it can be bright/the V wasnt built around the ev,but it is a great sounding combination to my ears-I use GT 12ax7-M's as well, which helped warm the tone,which was very bright w/ev....running 34's has warmed her up,too, and I am happy with it

I put a 12L in my combo for a couple days, but it made extreme mode unuseable. Now I use the stock MC90 in the combo and a 12L in my thiele.

I want to put an MS12 back in the combo, but I've been unable to locate another one.

The EVM-12L is my favorite guitar speaker (generally speaking). I had originally planned to try a 12L in my MkV combo but I like the stock C90 so muck that I'm going to leave the speaker alone. The 12l is the perfect speaker in my Fuchs ODS combo!

I use 4X12Ls in my cab. They sound great with the MKV.

The 12l is the perfect speaker in my Fuchs ODS combo!

That's good to know... I've been struggling to find a speaker that plays nice with the ODS, and the best I've found so far is the CL80.

You said it doesn't work as well in an open back, but wasn't your MIII combo an open back? If it kicked ass in your combo then it should kick major ass in a 3/4 back because it is a mix between open and closed back.

I should have the speaker today or tomorrow (with some luck).

My Mark III was awesome with the EVM-12L just because it was so freakin loud and sounded pretty awesome. I much preferred it after I ditched the combo enclosure and dropped it into a head case and played it through dual EV loaded theile cabs.
