Has anyone noticed that when using the sliders/sliders are active, the preset knob of that same channel adds a bit of bass (and sometimes takes away tightness of bass) when turned up? To me it's mostly noticeably in Ch.2 and especially Ch.3 when using high gain settings. I've also found that when using the sliders/sliders are active, the preset knob for that same channel can help add body to high gain situations, when using the sliders/sliders are active, only when dialed in carefully. Anyone else experience this? I read nothing in the manual that says the Preset EQ effects the Sliders? I know I'm not just hearing things...yet

Never noticed this, however I will give it a try tomorrow (it's late at night here).

Did you give it a try yet?

I went and tried it just now. I didn't notice any change. I tried it at low and moderate volumes (8:00 and 10:00 on the MV)... I can't do loud because it's 9PM here.

I understand...Hmm, well I can hear it at lower volumes or higher volumes on mine. I talked to my tech today and he said that he had not heard of it either. I'm positive it's having an effect on mine though. I believe I read somewhere else that someone had experienced this, only vice-versa (graphic effected the preset instead of preset effecting the graphic.) They said that they left their graphic flat when using the preset...something along those lines. But I've always noticed my preset effecting my graphic. It's not a huge difference at all, very subtle actually...seems to add a bit of bassy-ness. Mabey it's just like MusicManJP6 said.."Placebo!" haha. Who knows man. Thanks for checking it out though.

Oh also, I find it most noticeable in really high gain situations. I find it almost un-noticeable on clean or lower gain settings/channels. I pretty much only notice it on Ch.3 (low or high volume,) and Ch.2's Crunch Mode (at high volumes.) As a matter of fact, in Ch.3 when using the graphic on Extreme, I prefer the preset set to 1 (out of 10,) and on IIC+ I turn it up about half way. Like I said, who knows; I do have an earlier (2009) version...don't really think that has anything to do with it but ya know...working out bugs and all.

Placebo!! Just kidding. I'll give it a try tonight too if I get a chance.

Let me know what you think when you try it.

I played the other night, but forgot to try turning the preset knobs. Haha.

It's kind of hard to remember to do anything but enjoy tonal bliss when playing the V!
