An amp owned by a stupid person who cut the ground lug off the cord.

Any more pictures? Looks like a MKII to me.

But it shouldn't say Mesa/Boogie just Boogie. It has too many pull knobs for a MKI reissue no? Don't MKIII have pull knobs on all the pots? :?

Not sure if I can add anything, but my observations: Definitely not a Mk3, as the middle pot would be a ‘pull’ pot. The ‘Mesa Boogie’ logo is Mk3 era. It’s a long head, as the there are four switches on the right. It’s not a Mk2C or 2C+, as there is no text above the ‘drive master’ pot (right hand side) and although I can’t make out the text underneath the pots, the length of the text are different to my 2Cs.
Possibly a Mk2B or earlier.

Ian

OK, just checked a photo of a Mk2B and its not one of those, as the 2B doesn't have a pull switch on (and text above) the bass pot. I'm puzzled!
Mind you, I had two Mk3 (blue stripe) at one time and the text on the front panel was different, only slightly, but different.
Sorry can't be of any help.

It's a III. The IIx's only have 7 knobs on the front panel.
Not necessarily, I have Mark IIB large chassis (300 Series) 8 knobs in front.
I'm as puzzled as PRS-Ian, because the large MESA/BOOGIE emblem plus the "extra" cabinet thickness on the sides is a "Mark III" era but then it does not have the "Pull pots" like a Mark III.

Perhaps long Mark II chassis in long Mark III cabinet would be my guess.

My MKIII doesn't have that ground lug either on the cord plug.

It looks wrong...

What's with the two reverb knobs? One on the back and the front? I'd demand some clearer pictures from the guy.

Hmm, I guess I forgot about the 300 series.

If it's a 300, it's got to be a IIc or IIc+, based on the knob style, and having 6 push-pulls.

I believe the "so-called-reveb" knob on the back of the chassis is actually the gain control for the effect loop. I'm getting the feeling during fabrication the chassis of this amp, they forgot to remove the "reverb" stamp that's why the mark felt pin over reverb stamp. although I'm not sure why its not closer to the effect loop's input and outputs.

I guess Mark III (e-bay link and images). With the long chassis, it might be throwing everyone off.

I figured this was a IIC+.... I was hoping to get a DEAL! Than I saw this post.... and I knew it was all over.

That's pretty funny really. The Bozo or I should say owner has no idea what he is selling. All of a sudden he gets a million questions and somebody just spilled the beans ruining it for everybody. I certainly don't begrudge him getting whatever the amp will bring on eBay there really isn't a fairer place to buy if it weren't for the intentional crooks. I think this maybe the third or fourth time I have seen this scenario happen.

IIC+, Long Chassis 300 Series, K serial. The extra reverb may be a limiter circuit for the ungodly power of this amp. A look at the guts will show the limiter circuit connected to the PI. I doubt it is a level for the loop. May even be a Simul. I would have to see the guts. You never know with these as the 1/2 power switch could mean 1/2 power or it may cut it down to 2 6L6's and 2 EL34's. The EL34's on the K series simuls were run in the center sockets and not on the outer. We should demand amp porn and get a look at the guts and see if the center sockets are wired in Class A triode !!!! The amp looks pretty well used. The knobs look like they were turned with a vise grip.
