Anyone every try KT-66's in a Recto

I have a Tremoverb, great amp except when I need to move it.

But I just purchased a set of KT-66's to replace the EL-34 that are currently in it. Hoping to firm up the bottome end a little bit.

Any one else try these, or is there any other tubes I should consider?

make sure you have it on the correct bias... i believe the kt66s are for the 6l6 bias

If they are off the Groove Tube tooling from the Saratov/Sovtek plant, they need to be biased as a 25 watt tube. I use the GT KT-66HP in a 5 and it draws a perfect 35ma in a Dual Rectifier.
