Anybody using Vista and a USB interface to record?

If so, which brand of interface? Unfortunately, the demands of work and a three year old has meant my recording gear sits unused most of the time, so I've recently sold all my dedicated recording gear (all of it - mixer/dedicated computer/RME9652/CubaseSX/mics/etc...) and going forward, just want to have a simple stereo mic setup in my practice space to record "the moment".

I realize that Vista isn't the best for audio recording, but it's what's on my laptop, plus my laptop has no firewire or cardbus interface, so USB will be it for input.

Any suggestions?

When im at the band spot i take my laptop and record with xp. When Im at home I record with vista. I use a presonus firepod and i run that into sonar 7. IT works great on both. After you tweak the latency settings a little bit it will work fine.
