To all the wise owners of the labyrinth of tone that is the MkV...

I'm looking for a good tremolo and/or reverb unit to use with the MkV. Standalone units are preferred (pedals good too) but I just wanted to see what anyone here has tried and liked with their MkV. I'm mostly looking for a nice, authentic, vintage sounding tremolo but an added spanking, gurgling 'verb (separate or integrated with the trem) would be great too. I'd almost like to rip out half of an old Super, put it in a small chassis/cabinet and run it into the MkV!!!!

I've checked out a few of the usual suspects, but first hand experience with a good trem is greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

I can't give you any advice about a tremolo, but for reverb pedals, the TC Electronic Nova Delay is very good. It has a bunch of nice, tweakable, natural-sounding reverb. It won't make synthesizer noises, but it will provide a natural reverb tone. The only drawback is that the spring reverb settings can sound strange, almost as if they have a beating or pulsing to them, but I don't use the spring reverb settings anyways. (After all, the Mark V has a pretty good spring reverb.)

You mean the Nova Reverb. I have one also, I was using it on the tweed mode since the V's reverb is not very strong on that setting. The best sounding digital spring reverb I have heard is the one in the Lexicon MX-300(rackmount), it is excellent.
