Another great work metalaxe, compliments! Rhythm guitar sounds so thick! What premps have been used?

Thanks!
Mic preamps?
SPL Goldmike ...Killer Pre for little money.

Guitarpreamps:

just 1 sm57 on-axis pretty much center of cone.

LOUD AS ****! the 295 was set to 7 on the master vol ;)

wow, killer setup! how much are the SPL Goldmike in deutschland? here in italy they go for more than 1000 euros... Do you think they're a huge improvement over a standard mixer mic preamp, or are the difference minimal (but obviously noticeable by a tone purist)??

version 1 is 398 euro.
to be ordered at thomann.de (also for italians).
get it, GREAT pre!

WOW!...... Your guitar sound slays! Funny after reading what ytse_jam said about your guitars being so thick I listen to the beginning and laughed! I thought to myself it's so weak and thin, I turned up my speakers, 10 seconds go by and I get hit with a wall of sound!

I like the tune too. Great job!

Awesome job, and incredibly thick tone for center-micing the cone.

The SPL Goldmike is a very good pre. Tommi Inkilä of Scenery Channel uses one with his set-up too, and gets great results.

eh eh, I think that intro was appositely made to make you turn up the speaker and anjoy all the power of the real tone that comes after!

I listened to the new version just once, could you tell me what's been changed?

just minor volume-changes for a better overall-balance (at least i hope so ;) )

metalaxe, is it a song of your band or a song by someone else you just produced?

someone else, my band is this one:
Subcutane

(not the best song though, you've probably heard it before on this board anyway)
we're gonna record new and way better stuff somewhen in may.
