Allen Class Act

What do you guys think of it? Anyone have any experience with it? Basically all I hear of it is that it does the Plexi thing really well. I think the option to use all those different kinds of power tubes is pretty cool.

Is that Allen Amp a 5FCA? I built both Allen's 5F1+ and the 5FCA.

It's the 5F2. Any experience with it?

From Allen's site the 5F2 is a series of small chassis amps which includes the 5FCA.

Now if you are talking about the 5F20, then that may give you some Plexi sound because of Class AB power section. It also has a bias switch for either 6V6s, 6L6, or EL34.

The 5FCA -- which I'm familiar with -- is Class A (single power amp) basically a Champ Tweed power section but Marshall Stack Tone.
