Hey guys, I haven't been on the forums that much, but I'm new to micing amps, but I think I got a pretty good tone out of my Mark V for my cover of "You Shook Me All Night Long" by AC/DC. Check it out here and tell me what you think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eXQrBjkAoE.
The beginning of the video has the raw guitar with no double tracking, and the rest of the video has the same guitar track, just copy n pasted to do a "fake" double track. Not much post processing at all, besides a compressor for the solo. Any feedback is appreciated.
Tone info:
Crunch mode at 10w was used for all the tones, the solo has my Menatone Red Snapper OD engaged. I had the amp at a pretty loud volume, the mic is a SM58 that is very slightly off the center of the speaker. Cab is a Mills Acoustics 212B with V30s.
