Hey,

I have a friend that is getting a lot of noise out of ch 2 of his Lone Star Classic. Ch 1 works fine, no noise.

Can anyone point me in the right direction¿

I asked the same question over at the LS forum, no answer as of yet.

Thanks

No help for a brother¿
Well, this is the Mark V forum

Noise like this is almost always tube related. Refer to the amp's manual which has a "tube task chart". Swap any tube(s) used for channel 2 with a known good 12AX7, one at a time until the noise stops.

Some tubes may affect more than one channel, as the 12AX7 is actually two tubes in one glass envelope.

HTH
