a little help please. measurement of metal speaker grill.

I am looking to make a speaker grill like the older Mesa steel speaker grills. I need the measurements of the holes in the "flattened expanded steel". I have found the expanded steel but I need the size of the holes so I can order the correct steel. Mesa was not able to get me the numbers.

yes I am. Those look awesome. I want to make grills for my 2x12 vertical cabs if I can find the "flattened expanded steel" in the correct size.

Ok, the diamond hole measured approximately 2 3/8" wide by 1 1/16" High. Good luck.
