Hi Guys!, My Names is Mattias and I'm from Chile, this is my first post here in the board...

Well let's go to the point.... I need change the tubes of my Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier (3ch) and I'm verry clear about the pre amp tubes.... i'm gonna use JJ 12AX7 for the pre amp, loop and phase inverter.

But!.. I'm not so sure about the power Tubes... I'm really undecided between the JJ 6L6GE and the Winged C 6L6GE.

Alejandro Silva (a really good Chilean Guitar player who has been played with Steve Vai and Joe Satrini when they came to Chile, also he is a very respected Amp Builder here... Even Striani loved his amps when he tried it during the sound check for his first concert with Alejandro) told me that he Loves the sound of the JJ EL34 (he don't use 6L6 for his amps) but the problem is that the JJ have shorter life time and a bad sounding end of their usefull life. So he recomend me the Svetlana, Electro Harmonix or the Winged C power tubes, because they sound good and the building quality seems to be better. But he said "All what I'm saying is my experience with JJ EL34... I never tried the 6L6"

So..... what do yo think wizard guys? :?: .... Wich is my best option for the power section of my Dual Rectifier?.... JJs or Winged C?

And for the Rectifier tubes?.... I wanna keep the same model... but which is better?.... JJs or Electro Harmonix???

I'll be waiting your answers.... this is a little bit urgent...

Cheers!!! 8)

I've been using JJ E34L's in all my rectifiers for a while now. Never had an issue with them, and they seem to have as long of life as any 6l6 I've used. I love the tone and feel of them

I recently put a matched quad of Winged C 6L6's in my 3 channel dual rec, and they sound amazing! I think you will be happy with them.
