I have a Mark IV now. I have used the Studio pre before and really liked it. I was wondering, if I wanted to build a rack with 2 studio preamps, so that I might dial each in for the exact tone I wanted, what would be a good method to switch between them? Who makes a good A/B device or whatever?

An issue i see happening is that I would have to get the outputs of each into the power amp. If running stereo this would mean 4 outs into 2 ins. So, perhaps I would need a small rack mixer for this.

I recommend that you buy a Quad Preamp. This will give you two complete sets of controls, for a total of four channels, and will get you all of the sounds and more of the Studios, without the switching hassle of using multiple preamps.
