I'm planning on selling my EVM's and picking up some Celestion G12T-100's, and I can get a quad of them for a great price, but they are 4 ohm each. Will there be any disadvantages of running my Mesa cab at 4 ohms through one of the 4 ohm outs as opposed to 8 ohm speakers through the 8 ohm out?

I can also get 4 G12K-85's for $150 locally which are 16 ohm each. Anyone ever tried these speakers? They seem to get great reviews

The 85 and 100 are a lot alike.
Both have great thump.
The 100 are a little more expanded.
More lows and highs.
I like the 85 a little more myself.

I always mix them with one or more of these...
Vintage 30
Greenback
H30
But thats me.

The lower the ohms with most amps is tighter and has more lows/low mids.
How much depends on the amp.
