Just out of curiosity, how different is this from a dc-5?
I have a dc-5 combo and might wanna trade it as I want the head + cab deal. :)

Circuit board is pretty identical, and both are 6L6 driven, so the main difference would be headroom.

It should have more a little more low end and bass-handling capabilities, probably improved cleans, but really the tone should be the same.

This head has a 60/100 watt switch, which smooths out the upper mids and highs, to make for a creamier playing experience that may very well replicate your DC-5's power section.

The biggest difference you will hear is gonna be the switch from a semi-openback 1x12 to whatever cab you choose, which will make a world of a difference in heavy or distorted tones. I once cranked this through an old Mesa 4x12 halfback and heard god himself.

Cool, well if I can keep the same tone and get a tighter cab I'd be in heaven, I'm not digging the semi open back much.
Are you up for the trade? Where you located?
