I have a show coming up, first one in over 6 months.

I only have a few solos, but I've been dying to get some sort of boost for them to let me stand out over the other guitarist.

I dont have cash to throw down on anything really, but I do own an ART 31-band graphic EQ.

I am thinking about taking my rack to practice and fiddling with the EQ in the loop to try and get a lead boost.

suggestions?

I think it is a great idea if you use the amp's EQ for shaping. I don't, so I use the EQ as a lead boost. Works great. If you don't use the amp's EQ for tone shaping, it would work too.

well I would do that, but I have a little problem on my hands......

everything about the amp works fine. EXCEPT the Lead Channels EQ section. The bass, mid, and high knobs dont seem to function properly. The bass knob is acting more like a gain knob....something has been wrong with it since I got it used. I just havent had the dough to send it off and be without it for god knows how long.

soooo.....i pretty much have my GEQ set ON all the time. :? Im kinda bummed because Im definitely missing out on some nice tones. I really just need to send it off. Im just worried because my band is just starting to play shows again and I have a 5150 for backup, but that is it...
