Is there a way I can make it so when I switch to channel 2 and 3 my boss sd-1 pedal goes on and when I go to channel 1 for cleans it turns off? with out hitting say channel 2 then hitting my pedal for more drive.. then if I want to go to clean without hitting my pedal again to turn it off so its clean and doesnt have slight overdrive on it???!!
please tell me there is a way

Sorry man... no can do.

What you could try to do is line up the boss pedal above the footswitch on the floor and hit it at the same time as you hit the channel switch button... moving the footswitch back and forth to line up the channel you are changing to each time before. I used to do it like that when I had to turn on an effect and change channels at the same time.

You can absolutely do that are you kidding me?

All you gotta do is buy a $2000 MIDI switching system and you are good to go!

Or the $800 RG-16 Patcher and the $400 Foot Board from RJM.....Whatever floats your boat.

Fluff is correct...

While it is within the realm of possibility to do what you ask, it would cost faaaaaaaaaaaaar more than it's worth.

I did consider this, but I assumed that you wouldn't want to spend more than what you spent on the head for a MIDI system... all for an overdrive pedal. I would strongly not recommend doing that.

You can pour beer on the OD pedal right before you need it to stop working.

If it is a Boss pedal that wont really work. Man those pedals are tough.

Damn that's crazy for just that.. I think I can make one and its not going to be hard.. I guess if I take some wire and solder it to the foot switches on channel 2 and 3 to the boss sd-1 to turn it on then channel 1 solder a wire from channel 1 to the boss to turn it off.. I think it would work.. And if it doesnt.. back to tap dancing!.. ha.. Thx guys
