Looks like someone is gonna be pissed off when they get this cabinet. The seller claims that it has "2" 90 watt Celestion speakers... it looks like a Vintage 50 to me on the bottom. Just look at the frame color and the 8 screws. MC-90's only have 4 screws. MC-90's also have a hard foam material on the outside ring. Vintage 50's have cardboard.

i was watching that one till the bidding exited earth's orbit and wondered about the bottom speaker myself

The bottom may have been an Emminence Mesa Black Shadow MS-12 150w. It looks like one but whatever it is it's definately a different speaker than the C90 up top.

I thought about that. You are probably right since it is only a 2x12 and would need the higher wattage speaker. The MS-12 would be a good thing to me...

Hey guys, saw this one too and it DOES look like a VINTAGE 50 Eminence, check out the ribs on the cone.

MS-12's have smooth, flat cones like an EV. You can check out pics of mine here to compare:

A little pricey for that 2x12, for sure but it IS in great shape !

I was being an ebay cop and I told the guy. He was very receptive and thanked me for alerting him. The speaker is in fact a Vintage 50. I felt bad for butting in, but if I was the buyer, I wouldnt want to get burned. 8)

Hey Dave, are you looking to buy one of these. The one i have is in better shape than that one and has the EVM and MC90. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it or not.

I dont need another one although if the price is right... 8)

I have a line on 3 more Mesa 4x12's... One loaded with C-90's and EVM's...the best part is that they are close to me 8) After I get what I am looking for, I will need to sell off a few cabs

Not true they came in both ribbed and smooth.

Well I guess I stand corrected, didn't realize that they mixed the cones in the same model, hmmmm.... very curious. I've never personally seen an MS-12 with ribbed cone, the VINTAGE 50's I've seen, all came with ribbed cones. Strange.....
