2:90 broken tube...can I mismatch?

Hey guys,

I just got my 2:90 in the mail and unfortunately one of the power tubes got busted in shipping.

To gig tonight (I have new tubes shipped and on the way) I have an old 6l6 from my Dual Rec but the color code is not the same. I want to put it in the channel i am NOT going to be using since the other channels tubes are all intact.

I have a gig tonight and will not have time to get another tube set. Since the mismatched tube is just sitting in the unused channel will this cause damage to my 2:90? I thank you all in advance for your help.

should be alright for just a gig. just be sure to replace them all with matched tubes before you play it the next day
