What would cause this? What are the 3 preamp tubes in the 2:100 for anyway? Are all 3 the same type of tube and interchangeable in any of the 3 sockets?

Mine are mesa boogie and they say Russia or Russian 2? Not sure I don't have them in front of me right now.

Anyhow I noticed one was glowing really bright when the amp was in play-mode (not standby) so I swapped it into another socket and it was similarly bright. Then I put it in the socket closest to the input jacks and it glowed REALLY bright and I believe the sound was a lot quieter. I tested the sound with modern mode on and off and also using the recto recording pre inputs instead of the normal ones. The tube still glowed really bright regardless of inputs or modern being on or off. Is this the same as a power amp tube red-plating? Do I need to get a new one? The amp is really loud (normal volume) when it's in one of the sockets (can't remember which ones were which) so that's why I ask if I need to get a new one.

Thanks for your time guys.
