100 vs 105 transformer

105 is higher headroom=tighter
100 is lower, so it's smoother, rounder sounding.

I am just about to pull my 105 out of my mk IIc+ and put a 100 in it's place!

the idea is that the 105 is like a V8- instant power on tap straight up.. this makes it sound more tight.the 100 should have almost the same pate voltage but when you need that power it can't keep us with the demand and will sag.this makes the tone more rich and round..


I kinda can't wait to give it a go and hear if there is a difference.

Per my discussions with Mike B., he said he thought the export transformers were best suited for the IIC and C+.
