What do you do to keep your pick from slipping?
Big Stubby #3. Nice feel. They have a circular depression in the center of the pick that is roughed up inside. I can get all kinds of tone from these. Also, just picked up some wooden picks from Pick Boy. They are a bit thicker than the Stubbies and have a curved groove on one side and a... -

MXR 10 Band in Loop sounds like a tremolo??
I can't comment on the problem in the loop. But, when I first used my MXR 10 band eq I got all kinds of squeal and noise when I ran it in front of the amp. Actually, it was in front the distortion pedal(s), etc. If you boost it too much you can get clipping going into the following pedals or MFX...
