I think you're right on the money. When I had my DR, ch1 pushed was definitely louder than the clean. How much life do the preamp tubes have on them?

Wondering people's opinion on the roadster 2x12 vs a basson 2x12. I guess this would really be directed at jdurso since he has both. I'm open to different ideas, just weighing possibilities. I do think that I'm sold on the roadster 2x12 over the rectifier 2x12 due to the openness. Thanks!

+1 on the Sennheiser. I've got that and love it - no noticeable high or low rolloff and a great range.
