Triple rec noob and Zuul question

I run the Zuul as well, but into my DR 3 ch. Depending on the the FX loop in your TR the Zuul’s key feature only works with a series loop. Otherwise, like me, with a parallel loop you’ll have to run in front.

This photo/article was from the Metallica fan club magazine So What. James was talking about how he brought a bunch of his old stuff to record DM.

Who inspired you to play a boogie?

I was always impressed by Metallica's sound even though I played Marshalls for years, but it wasn't until about 8 years ago when my best friend and I actually went to play some boogies at the local shop. My bud went home with one that night and the next day I brought my jcm 900 in for...

    Cabinet info

Looking to buy a recto 2x12, but I'm wondering what, if any, difference in sound there would be between the horizontal or the vertical? If anyone can give me info on this it would be much appreciated, thanks.

Finally got a Mark IV! The journey is over?

Welcome to the Mk IV family, you can say that the first leg of your journey is over, now the fun begins! This amp is truly a treat to own and play. I too found the Mk IV to be more for me rather than the recto.

    The Mark IV thread....!!

I'm running an old ADA 2x12 with celestion gt-s50 50 watt speakers with my mk ivb med head. I get a good sound from it, but I think that better is achieved from a 4x12, but that would be a bit much for bedroom playing. I was looking at the recto vert 2x12 as well though. I think the head would...

    Mesa Boogie Subway Rocket

I couldn't let go of my reverb rocket when I bought my Mk IV. There is just something about it that I can't let go. It's got one of the narliest sounds that I've ever heard, especially through a 2x12. Definitely a keeper!

    Mk IV logo question

This may sound goofy, but my Mk IV wide head was purchased new in April of this year and the logo on the front says "Boogie", but the one in the catalog says "Mesa/Boogie". I was just wondering if anyone knew if this actually represented anything i.e. year models?
