Just for clarificiation, if it's a Rectoverb, it's a SINGLE rectifier. Congrats on the amp!

    Rect-O-Verb clip (Constant Motion)

Thanks! I've never played a Tremoverb, but I'm guessing it'll sound bigger, being a Dual Recto. Regarding the mic, I wish. I actually used a relatively cheap USB conference mic and backed it away about a foot. I'm looking to get a nice dynamic mic w/ interface this Christmas, probably...

Thanks for the explanation. And thanks for the tip boogiemon. I tried this last night and to my ears, the tone is not drastically different. I noticed that there was less "fizz" on high gain, but did not hear any other differences. I don't know that this will completely transform your tone, but...

So it is safe to plug the one 8 ohm speaker in to a 4 ohm jack? My understanding is that they are to be used when connecting TWO 8 ohm speakers. But then again, I'm a tech newbie...any insight/explanations would be appreciated. :D I could not find in the manual where Mesa encourages hooking up...

    Blue Snowball USB mic

Anyone had any experience with one? I'm looking to get one for casual recording around the house and was wondering how they fare with amps. I noticed it's a condenser mic, so I was wondering how it will do with my Rectoverb? I've read that it has settings/firmware for recording amps...and it...

    Rect-O-Verb clip (Constant Motion)

Thanks for the comments guys! 8) Will try to get an original clip up in the near future, especially once I get some better recording gear... I've tried OD pedals before, but don't really like what they do to the pick attack. I can always tell when someone has one engaged because the pick...

First Attempt at Recording my Mark IV

Whoops. That's right, forgot about the Repentance solo.

First Attempt at Recording my Mark IV

I don't know where you heard/read that, but from what I've read, it was all Mark IV on Systematic Chaos. [interview was in Guitar Player]

    AC/DC, Thin Lizzy tone settings

On my Rect-O-Verb combo, I typically use Raw mode with the gain around 1:00, and treble-12:00, mid-1:00, bass-11:00. Couple that with my Les Paul Standard and I've got Thin Lizzy covered. Classic rock tones to me are pretty easy to achieve as long as you're modest with the gain and have an...

Really starting to love my DC-3

Sounds like someone is snoring in the background. Guess you put em to sleep with all that shredding...

    Rect-O-Verb clip (Constant Motion)

I don't know. I was having that same problem when I initially previewed the post. Just open a new browser window/tab and paste the link there.

    Rect-O-Verb clip (Constant Motion)

Tanx. :D I wouldn't consider it better, but I think it's passable given my guitar's typical nature.

Mark Morton(Lamb of God) possibly in Kohl's commercial

Saw the ad yesterday and TOTALLY thought the same thing! Didn't know Kohl's was so metal!

Please post Lamb Of God settings

I believe Mark and Willie both use LOW output pickups in their guitars, specifically SD '59s. And their guitars are mahogany. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Morton under Equipment

    Rect-O-Verb clip (Constant Motion)

I've always been able to nail hard and classic rock tones with my rig but I wanted to see what would happen in the metal area. Chain: stock LP Standard Limited (Burstbucker Pros) > Rect-O-Verb Series 2 combo Bass was done in Fruity Loops and the drums were performed by Mr. Portnoy himself :)...
