Definitely the grid slammer. I really like MXR and the modified OD is awesome. But the grid slammer adds some depth here.

Wow S-Fresh, that definitely seems like it could be the same one. It's interesting, I've never run across an animal like this one. I definitely feel like it could be some sort of prototype that wasn't meant to leave the factory.

So I found an amp for sale in my local area. The amp has visual clues of being a C+ and also passes the loop test. The strange thing is that it does not seem to have a serial number. The owner claims to have called Mesa and they seem to believe it was a test amp and are unsure as to how it left...

Tuesday I dislocated my left shoulder for what I believe is the 8th time. I had a reconstruction 10 years ago that has obviously failed in the long run. MRI in a week will show the extent of the damage, just sucks because the band is on hold until I can heal a bit

My rig is pretty basic. I use a DC-5A through a Marshall 1960A 4x12. Pedal board is Boss Tuner -> Boss Chorus -> Wah pedal. Board is in front of the amp. I'm looking for a noise suppressor because sometimes I get some feedback at high volumes and I'm playing with a rather loud band right now...

I think under $1500 you can get a pretty solid setup. I'd suggest to look into a DC-5. I love mine. I use a Mesa DC-5 through a Marshall 1960A 4x12. Cab was $350 and amp was $400
