Maybe i'm wrong but I think the only thing this achieves is making the volumes appear more equal. In other words, if crunch has master on 10 o clock and mkiv mode has it on 1 oclock to balance out , You could use the boost and turn down the master on mkiv mode. Its not adding anymore headroom...

I purposedly got the 25 instead of the 35. It handles a loud rock band fine. The smaller footprint /weight/ footpedal all helped my decision. I don't need pristine cleans. I'm not lugging larger gear to fill room with my tone when there are PAs for that. The 25 can easily fill a smaller venue...

I would start with the presence knob first Then try the last two sliders on the graphic Should be very easy to find s good tone that way.

I would not mod it personally. Why wreck a five year warranty? The channels are really easy to balance quickly, at least on the 25 Maybe a good use of the solo function is a slightly higher vol balanced on each channel just in case things get louder

I'm using a mini with a custom toneprint I made using analog delay with mild mod and ducking. I set the repeats with a high and low pass filter. Works great as a leave on delay as it doesn't get unruly or take over your sound. If you listen for it, it's there.

Interested to hear your settings too. Like any tube amp, this one does shine when you get to stretch its legs so to speak. Also were you using the cab clone or mic for monitor feed and FOH?

I have a 25 now and mine is similar. The gain channel is compressed so cleaner tones always seems to get louder quicker. Never get too caught up where the knobs are. There are some many variables built in and the amps were not engineered to have the knobs equal across channels or even the...

wow sixty years with original tubes....they certaianly dont make them like that anymore. using my MV daily at home / weekly rehearsals / gigging my power tubes or rectifier seem to either blow or sound bad after 9 - 12 months. Sometimes waiting till they blow can cause you to need screen...
