What's the difference between the Stilettos?

Come on guys, I'm serious here. They have the same front panel layout and from what I can tell they have the same rear layout as well. Is it just that the Trident has more power?

What's the difference between the Stilettos?

Just like the title asks, what the hell is the difference between the Stiletto Deuce and the Stiletto Trident? Besides the different number of tubes are there any other differences?

Not trying to be an ***, but if anything, this should go in the guitar section.

I'm going to be a member of the mesa family! (soon)

 I'm a mess. I just bought a Mesa 50/50 power amp! Now I am officially apart of the Mesa group. I went for a rack setup, since the 50/50 has a low power switch that's 15 watts I went with it. I also got an Engl 530 preamp that gets here on March 7th. I've gotta wait for the 50/50 to...

So, what amps do you own?

How in the hell did you already get that guitar (rammstein sig)?! I thought those weren't available for sale yet as it being a new model for this year.

    Rect-O-Verb Question

From what I've heard people say about them and what it sounded like at GC, I'm not interested in Krank. 1. way too expensive, 2. Nothing under 100 watts, and 3. no combos or heads matching number 1 and 2. I think I'm just going to save up and get the Fireball. If I could sell my amp, I'd...

Trade in Value of RK series 1 at GC

Yeah, NEVER sell your gear to GC! I'm wanting to sell my modified Laney VH100R and I took it in to see what they'd give me. I've invested a total of $2,000 in the amp and they said that they'll give me $500 for it and that was more than the used blue book value!

    Rect-O-Verb Question

I'm mainly a metal player; we're talking tight, technical, playing and sound, i.e. Death, Dimmu Borgir, a little Bodom, etc. Out of all the Boogies I've played, F series included, I just couldn't get the chug palm mute sound out of 'em. I'm wanting really tight bass response. I was referred...

    Rect-O-Verb Question

It's tough trying to find anything decent around me because I'm in the middle of nowhere when I comes to gear (Oklahoma). It's either; Mesa, Marshall, Crate, Fender, or low end Line 6's, all of which I don't really care for. I've heard a lot of talk about the Engl Powerball, but I don't need...

    Rect-O-Verb Question

That's just it though, I don't know if different tubes WILL make it sound how I want and it voids the warranty; I know just put the originals back in. That's funny that you mention I can't do a tube swap at GC, well not non-Mesa ones anyway. The guy I was talking with said, "You want to try it...

    Rect-O-Verb Question

Well, I've been back to GC about 5 times since I started this thread and I have to say, after all this time of testing Mesa's I don't think that they're for me. I know, I know... The thing is, I've spent probably a total of 3-5 hours the Rect-O-Verb alone and it just isn't as tight as I...

Mesa Rect-O-Verb conversion to tube rectifier

I'm not familiar with the term 'sag' that was used, could someone explain what that is?

Will new tubes really change my Rectoverb sound?

They type of strings you have can also have a small, and I mean small, affect on sound. Pickups react differently to different strings, i.e. material. If you don't like the sound and don't want to try all the stuff we've mentioned, through an eq pedal in, either between the guitar and the amp...

Will new tubes really change my Rectoverb sound?

Well said! I fully agree with that. If I were you, I'd try out all of my options before getting rid of the rectoverb. You're not just restricted to changing the tubes either, remember you can change the speaker(s) as well.

    Roadster and Ace?

I'm not fond of the Roadsters looks either, but I'll give it a shot. If it sounds good, then I just may buy one.

    RK Series 2/Roadster

I can't wait to see the stuff that comes out of the custom shop with the roadsters. I bet they will look a lot nicer, too bad I can't afford to do that; as I am not too fond of the design either. But if it sounds nice, I might get it instead of a series II rect-o-verb.

    Sick of the proverbial crap?

This is nothing new, the whole marketing strategy that's being discussed. Mesa/Boogie is an American company and as long as it remains one, it will use the typical American way of adverstising, because we are accustomed to it. Anyone seen commericals in Europe? Nothing like the commercials in...

FOR SALE: Mesa Boogie Mark IV long head

^That's the problem though, if it's damaged and it's only declared at $250, you're screwed. You guys and trust shipping companies with your toys, but I sure as hell won't.
