Another Mark III Blue Stripe Metal Video

Ha! :) No attenuator. I didn't notice it being *that* loud, but then again I wasn't in the same room... Thanks! Matt

    Mark IIC+ Original vs. Upgrade

Hi All-- I'm sorry if this topic has been beaten to death here; I searched, but if there are a lot of similar threads I missed, feel free to delete and accept my apologies. I also read the IIC+ guide for dummies, of course. I was just wondering if there's a generally-held opinion on upgraded...

Classic Metallica Tones With My Mark IV

I honestly don't remember. :-/ Not playing coy, I just adjusted it by ear for each tone and didn't record any settings. But it was a bit of boost with a shelf at 4.6k, a bit of a dip at 1.2k, and a little peaking boost at 120 cycles--just don't remember the amounts. Sorry! :( Thanks, Matt

Classic Metallica Tones With My Mark IV

Thanks guys! Glad you enjoyed. And I agree about the Mark IV. I love that thing...sometimes I think it's the best amp Mesa ever released. I know, I know, blasphemy, IIC+ and all. But there's something unique to the IV about that snarl. Sure! Settings were pretty much as you see them in...

Classic Metallica Tones With My Mark IV

Hey Guys-- I thought this would be fun. Wanted to see how close I could get to three of the classic Metallica tones with my Mark IV head and an EQ in the loop. Same guitar and amp for all three; just changed speaker cabs and microphones. More info in the video description. Hope you enjoy...

Any Mark IV owners compared directly to the JP2C?

Thank you so much, guys! I'm glad you dug it and I appreciate the comments. Here's the actual first single/video in case you want to check it out as well; a lot more lead work in this one (all JP-2C once again): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9fpNQ67SaE Cheers, Matt

Mark IV vs. JP-2C Heavy Rhythm Comparison Video

Thanks so much! :) Sure, happy to answer anything. The rhythm tracks were actually a Krankenstein (reputation aside, a great amp if you know how to dial it in; the size and hi-fi sound of a Dual Recto, but with a Marshally character to the distortion) and a Marshall JVM. We're releasing the...

Any Mark IV owners compared directly to the JP2C?

Glad you enjoyed the comparison video. I hope this doesn't come across as too spammy, but our label just released a lyric video from a song from our new album a couple hours ago, if you want to hear an example of the JP-2C on leads. Both lead breaks/solos in this track are the JP-2C...

Mark IV vs. JP-2C Heavy Rhythm Comparison Video

Hey, thanks guys! I appreciate your taking the time to watch, and the comments and feedback. :) Yup, I really like that Edwards LP. I'm not a good enough lead player to spend thousands chasing down the real deal, so for my needs it's perfect. Feels and sounds great! JOEY B.: Pentode indeed...

Mark IV vs. JP-2C Heavy Rhythm Comparison Video

Wasn't sure if I should post this here or in the JP-2C section. :) Now that I've had the JP-2C for awhile, I wanted to do a video comparing it to the Mark IV, so I threw together a few riffs for that purpose. I just dialed in each amp for the best heavy rhythm sound I could get for my taste...

Excellent, thanks guys. That makes me rest a little easier. 8) And dlpasco, I know exactly what you mean re: "a little too quiet" to "the cops will be here in five minutes" with the tiniest adjustment! Cheers, Matt
