Considering selling my Road King II to buy a Mark V:25

Thanks guys, I'm going to keep the Road King.... at least for now. I might look for a 2x12 cab which would make it much easier to move around and maybe I'll end up getting a Mark V:25 someday.

Considering selling my Road King II to buy a Mark V:25

I've had my Road King II listed in the classifieds here and locally on Craigslist for awhile after deciding to downsize to a lower wattage amp and hearing all the rave reviews for the Mark V:25. I'm really surprised at the low prices the Road King II are actually selling at these days and I'm...

I've lowered the price again! Amp is $1700 + actual shipping. Cab is $600 + actual shipping.

I've decided to sell my Road King II (this is the version 2 as well) and 4 x 12 cab to downsize to a smaller Mesa (probably a Mark Five: 25). With two small children I rarely have the opportunity to play this amazing amp anymore. I purchased the tan front grill from another Boogie member a few...

    Troubleshooting my Roadking

You probably already checked this but make sure the speaker selection switches on the back are set correctly. They tend to get flipped (for me at least) while transporting. If they switch to A+B must it sounds horrible and there is hardly any volume. Good luck!

Best Wall hangers for your instrument

I have 5 of the Hercules hangers and like them a lot. I used long (3" or so) drywall screws and found studs to anchor them into. Most studs are 16" on center which is an OK spacing.... although they could be a bit closer. Even though some of the drywall anchors are pretty good I just don't...

    Road King 2 Tube Problem?

Several times while setting up for a gig I've had this issue and it always turned out that the Speaker A, A+B, B switch got knocked during transport. I made a habit of checking over all the controls and switches because there are so many of them! Sounds like your problem is different.... just...

    RK 2 Foot Controller

You can use the 1/4" switching inputs on the back of the amp to control any/all of the functions of the king controller. Whatever you use needs to be electrically isolated from each other and latching. I made a MIDI controlled device similar to the amp gizmo and have had great success with it.

    Roadster Foot Controller

I have a Road King and use a Behringer FCB1010 MIDI control and a DIY MIDI switch to control the amp. This setup also controls my rack fx processor with just one button press. There are several off-the-shelf MIDI switching devices available: Axess Electronics CFX4, RJM Amp Gizmo and RG16...

    4 cable method + roadster

That's interesting. So they must be switching between channel 1 and whatever channel's external trigger you connect the GT-8 to? During rehearsal last night I tried having nothing triggered on my Road King and it did indeed default to channel 1. The channel 1 LED on the front panel of the...

    4 cable method + roadster

"I guess the main question is...can the 4cable method control roadster's 4 channel switching?" I'm confused.... what does the 4 cable method (a method of routing your audio both before and after the preamp) have to do with the external switching jacks on the Roadster? Regarding the ext switch...

    rk II effects loop!!!!!

The knob on the back is only for the level of the audio going out of the send jack, it's not a mix control (like a parallel loop would have). Think of it as a "master preamp level" assuming you have the effects loop set to active. I can't help specifically with the level for your comp and...

G-Major and FCB1010 with Uno firmware

I'm going to try to get the whammy effect working with an expression pedal... maybe this weekend. I agree, the G-Major and FCB1010 are good products and I think they are a great value (I purchased both used).

G-Major and FCB1010 with Uno firmware

Sorry, this got really long..... I have the exact setup you're describing and love it. I have the FCB setup in stompbox mode and use the free PC programming software and a USB/MIDI interface to program on my computer. I was not at all familiar with MIDI when I started this project abou t3...
