Went out and bought all new power tubes and rectifier tubes today. Before testing my luck with all new tubes I looked inside again to double check the guts and came across this. Looks like I'll be taking it in for repair before I fry $140 in tubes.

I know a lot of people SWEAR by the mxr 10 band eq. I was wondering if anyone had tried that pedal vs a rackmount eq. I'd like to keep all my effects and such in the rack I have and was just curious if the mxr had some mystical tone harnessing capabilities.

That's exactly what I've done in the studio before. I sat down pulled off my sock [other guitarist asked me what the hell i was doing] I told him watch...er....listen... tied my sock around third fret or so and continued. IMMEDIATELY cleaned up the lead i was playing. or trying to play ;)
